Fun February Facts: Feb 14th was when James Knox Polk became the first serving President of the United States to have his photograph taken in 1849, the day Oregon (1859) and Arizona (1912) were admitted as states, the day in 1876 when Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray separately file for a patent on the telephone, the day YouTube was launched in 2005 and the 1859 birthday of George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr., American engineer and inventor of the Ferris wheel.

On to sunshine…

In honor of Valentines Day, symbolized by hearts, I wanted to give a quick shout out to the heart of our solar system. The sun gives us life and energy. So often we go through our days without taking a minute to really appreciate that giant fiery ball in the sky and it’s amazing sunshine full of light and warmth. Here’s to simply taking a minute to appreciate it…
