A week or so I made a great discovery, the New Balance 730. A minimalist running shoe, it could be my favorite pair of “shoes” I own. They have been around for a while but this is the first time I had seen them. Although I’m still partial to Five Fingers, these are awesome shoes. Lightweight, flexible, room for my toes to wiggle and very breathable.
I stumbled upon them at a Sports Authority store while picking up a race packet for the ROC Race (which was very cool by the way). Here’s the link to the original 730s at Sports Authority because New Balance has since updated this shoe. Here is the newer version 730 v2.
These could just the perfect shoes for people who want to get more minimal but aren’t quite ready to be seen in toe shoes. I’ve almost thought about getting another pair because they were ~ $50 and I’m that impressed with them so far. That’s saying a lot from a guy who spends most of his days wearing Vibrams…
Thanks for reading, have a great day!
